The Fed announces a pay cut for the month of July next week
Erbil (Kurdistan 24) - The Federal Ministry of Finance announced, on Monday 10 August 2026, its intention to disburse the salaries of employees for last July during the next week, comforting the delay due to the lack of cash liquidity.
Today, the Council of Representatives Finance Committee held a meeting with Federal Prime Minister Ali al-Zaidi, Minister of Finance Falah Sari, and the Central Bank Governor to discuss the general financial situation of Iraq.
In a statement to Kurdistan 24, the Finance Committee member Loyalty al-Dudami said that the committee had asked the Minister of Finance about the date for sending salaries in July, and the Minister confirmed that the exchange will start next week as a result of challenges related to the availability of cash liquidity.
For his part, the Federal Prime Minister pointed out that there is ongoing coordination and communication with the Head of Government of the Kurdistan Region, with the aim of reaching solutions to the salary file and all other financial files pending between the two sides.
