Court: arrested and prosecuted for counterfeiting

The Supreme Judicial Council on Friday announced the arrest of a number of Nazareth Municipality employees and two prosecutors who were seized in possession of forged documents and seals.

According to a statement from the Supreme Judicial Council received by ZDJ News, the Dhi Qar appeals court chairman was able to arrest a number of employees and prosecutors of Nazareth Municipality, seizing seals, books and lectures relating to residential plots, as well as forged agencies and documents.

He explained that the arrest operation was carried out under the direct supervision of a judge of the Court of Integrity and a member of the Public Prosecutor at the head of the Court of Appeal Dhi Qar, and carried out by the Bureau of Investigation of the Integrity Authority in Dhi Qar, with the assistance of the Directorate of Conservation Intelligence, and the operation resulted in the seizure of communications devices and weapons in the possession of the accused.

According to the statement, the court has taken the necessary legal action against the accused, and their judicial statements have been recorded in advance of their referral to the competent court to conduct their trial in accordance with the law.
