6 million dinars, an electrical transformer delayed the opening of the hospital by ZKirkuk by three years

Kirkuk Governor's Council Services Committee Chairman Ahmed Fatah revealed on Monday that Lilan Hospital has been closed for about 3 years due to the lack of electricity transmission despite the completion of the hospital.

Fateh told the Dawn News Agency that "the health department paid the ministry of electricity more than 100 million dinars, but now they are demanding 6 million dinars for an electrical converter so that the hospital is operational".

He asked, "The hospital was completed three years ago, and there's only one electrical transformer left, costing no more than 6 million dinars

Fatah added that he tried to contact the director of the Hawija branch, Mohammad Hamid, and the general manager, Zidan Khalef, but he received no response, calling on the general manager of the Northern Electricity Distribution Company to intervene quickly and resolve the operating file of the hospital.

He concluded by saying that "Lilan County has a large number of villages, while residents have been suffering for three years from no hospital, emergency department or health center".
