A security source reported on Tuesday that three members of the IraqI army, including an officer, were injured after an explosive device exploded in an agricultural area of Daqoq, south of the KirkukI province.

"An explosive package planted in an agricultural area near the tea valley, within the southwestern Kirkuk district, exploded during the passage of a force from the IraqI army, injuring three of the accomplices, including an officer".
He added that the wounded were taken to a hospital for treatment, while the security forces placed a checkpoint around the blast site and began search and searches in the surrounding area.
He pointed to the opening of an investigation to find out the circumstances of the accident and who was behind the planting of the package, as well as to make sure the area was empty of other packages.
Agricultural and remote areas in the vicinity of Dakok are witnessing security operations to track ISIS cells and prevent the exploitation of the region's nature to carry out attacks against security forces.
