Files of more than 5,000 victims of the war against ISIS and military operations in Kirkuk have been completed, but they have not been compensated on the pretext of lack of cash.

Ahmed Kirkuky, a member of the Kirkuk governorate council for the Rudao Media Network, stated that transactions of more than 5,000 victims of the war against ISIS and errors in military operations in Kirkuk were ready, but no compensation was paid to them.

Ahmed KirkukI said that "the files of these compensations are sent at various payments to the Federal Ministry of Finance, but they return them on the grounds that cash is not available and the compensation is not handled for them".

These compensations concern the properties of persons affected by the war against ISIS and the military operations. The Kirkuk compensation file has been ready since 2025.

The Kirkuk governor's councillor explained that these compensations include Kurdish, Arab and Turkmen, and that they are working with the Victims' Compensation Office and Kirkuk deputies to solve this problem.
