Erbil (Kurdistan 24) - Official government spokesman, Haider al-Abdu'i, confirmed on Monday, 10 August 2026, that the government is working to mitigate the challenges facing the state and secure its obligations, while strengthening Iraq's ability to deal adequately with unstable conditions.
He explained that government moves are based on a solid foundation based on state sovereignty and strengthening positive partnerships with regional and international oceans, as well as consolidating the principles of good neighborliness and mutual respect in foreign relations.
On the internal matter, the government spokesperson pointed to the integration within the system of oversight and integrity to protect public money and combat waste and corruption, stressing the continuing review of spending directions and government contracts and increasing the efficiency of the use of state resources and directing them towards development priorities.
