Daner Abdul Ghaffar: President Barzani informed al-Zaidi that no one has immunity against corruption

Erbil (Kurdistan 24) - The spokesman for the Kurdistan Democratic Party (KDP) bloc and member of the parliamentary finance committee, Danner Abdul Ghaffar, disclosed details of Erbil's supporting stance for the federal government's anti-corruption campaign, stressing President Masoud Barzani's explicit stance that no person or party should be excluded from accountability.

Abdul Ghaffar, during an interview on Kurdistan24, explained that President Barzani assured Prime Minister IraqI Ali al-Zaidi, in a previous phone call, to support the entire Kurdistan region and 100% of anti-corruption operations.

Emphasizing the lifting of immunity from all those involved without exception, both in Kurdistan and Iraq governorates, the Prime Minister praised during his meeting today with parliamentary forces.

Abdul Ghaffar added that the meeting that brought together the Parliamentary Finance Committee with the Prime Minister saw extensive research into economic files, mechanisms to address financial crises and waste of public money.

The members of the Committee also stressed the need to address the issues pending between Baghdad and Erbil on the basis of constitutional frameworks and agreements concluded between the two parties.
