An unjust slave condemns the assault on Kurdish families in Sri Lanka and prays for restraint

Erbil (Kurdistan 24) - The commander-in-chief of the Syrian Democratic Forces, Masoom Abdi, today, Monday 10 August 2026, condemned the attack on displaced Kurdish families while returning to the city of Sri Kanyé (Ras al-Ain).

Abadi said in a post on the X platform that the process of returning these families was coordinated with the Syrian government, noting his understanding of the angry reactions on the Kurdish street to the attack.

The commander of the SDF called on the people to exercise "self-control" and not be dragged behind any irresponsible actions, stressing the importance of maintaining civilian and security institutions in the region.

Abadi also stressed that we will continue to work in coordination with the relevant authorities to ensure the protection of returning civilians and accountability of all those who prove their involvement in the acts of aggression, ensuring the rights of all and maintaining the security and stability of the region.

We condemn the attack on migrant Kurdish families on their return to Siri Kanhe, which was carried out in coordination with the Syrian state.
