The Ministry of Interior confirmed on Friday that the Iraq border is experiencing a high level of security and stability.

The Head of the Department of Relations and Media of the Ministry of Interior, Gen. Madad Merri, said in a statement received by Iraq, that today the Iraq border is experiencing a high level of security and stability, thanks to the continuous efforts made by the command of border forces and the support of various security formations.

He added that border surveillance and control measures have contributed to enhancing border security and reducing attempts to infiltrate and smuggle, noting that border work is being carried out with high efficiency according to advanced security plans based on modern technologies and effective field deployment.

He added that the Ministry of Interior is continuing to develop the capabilities of the Border Forces to ensure the protection of the sovereignty and security of the Iraq, stressing that the border ports are subject to strict control and procedures to achieve the highest levels of security and order.
