Erbil (Kurdistan24) - The first phase of the process of distributing residential parcels of land to employees and retirees, with the distribution of about 650 plots of land as a first payment, was launched on Tuesday, 11 August 2026 in Sulaymaniyah Governorate.
The Kurdistan 24 correspondent reported that the distribution process was carried out through a public draw in the presence of the judiciary officials and representatives of the relevant bodies, noting that the total number of employees and pensioners who benefited from the Syed Sadiq case exceeds 5,000 people.
The distributed land on Qinja Road is located in a prime location, and is reserved for employees who have served eight years or more and have not previously benefited from government real estate allocations.
In the province of Aleppo, the spokesman for the municipality of Aleppo, Farhan Az-Din, announced the completion of the maps and engineering plans of the land allocated and the approval of the Ministry of Municipalities and Tourism, pointing out that more than 10 thousand employees have submitted their forms, and checks and balances are currently underway to select eligible candidates according to the approved points system and criteria.
Az-Din recently revealed the launch of field distribution in the city center of Aleppo within a dedicated site and provider of all basic services. He pointed out that among the previous bond issues, 198 teachers and retirees benefited from the 585 orders issued for them since 2005, and the rest of the credits will be completed in the near future.
